The Final TVCU Crew Review

That's right.  Even though these review posts have had lots of views and have led to other posts getting more views, I feel these review posts are a failure.  The chronology posts often end up getting a lot of feedback and discussion, which are not happening with these reviews.  So this will be the final one.

However, starting January 1, I'm trying something new.  I still won't have time to do fully detailed chronologies (even updates) until the book is done, but what I'm going to start doing is writing "TVCU Quickies".

The Quickies will each focus on a series, sometimes ones already covered but in need of update and sometimes new subject matter, and will consist of the following:

  • My extremely biased views on the series in question.
  • How I feel the series fits into the TVCU or TVCM.
  • Some of the more easily found crossover finds.
  • Links to other relevant sites.
  • A few pictures and videos, of course.
Hopefully by April I will be doing regular chronologies again.  And of course, keep a look out for something special on April 1.

James Bojaciuk posted this question in our forum.  Feel free to comment below or on the Facebook page if you have the answer.

To ask something I should remember, but don't: what was the Lovecraftian story where Sauron is cited as a Great Old One?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another apocryphal Lost Issue.  Both Popeye and Tintin are in the TVCU.

TVCU Crew Review Boxing Day Edition

When I was younger, I thought that this was a Canadian celebration of the sport of boxing.  Anyway, Xmas is over, but the aftermath of holiday crossover finds is still here and so I present some of the recent crew posts.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Lost Issues:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matt Hickman has found that a version of the Yellow Kid (the first comic book character) exists in the Marvel Universe.  From a TVCU point of view, the Marvel and DC Universes coexist on Crossover Earth, a divergent timeline of the TVCU.  Read about Marvel's version the Yellow Kid here.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a crossover between Disney's Good Luck Charley and Jessie.  I plan on doing a write-up of the Disney shows and their role in the TVCU in this coming

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hugh H. Davis has found this article discussing the difficulties of forcing crossovers.  It's very relevant to my own headaches with the TVCU/Looniverse connection.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And one more Lost Issue for the holidays.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Years Resolution:  To have the Horror Crossover Universe published.  To start writing TVCU blogs again.

TVCU Crew Review Christmas Eve 2013 Edition

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.  Just a quick blog while waiting for Santa.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The top blogs of this Xmas Eve (because people still visit our site instead of spending time with family), are Futurama, The Santa Blog, The Easter Bunny Blog!, Drawn Together, and 90210!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know it's the holidays and so I'm not expecting a quick response to this, but on this Christmas Eve, I'm asking one of Santa's helpers to point me to where it was said that Hellboy was involved in the 1970s Invasion of the Body Snatchers....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have yourself a merry little Christmas.

TVCU CREW REVIEW DECEMBER 23, 2013

'Twas the afternoon before the night before the night before Christmas, and I was bored, so I decided to post a quick one, for sure.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Futurama has knocked Knight Rider out of the top ten most viewed blogs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This past week's most viewed were: 1) TVCU Crew Review Friday, December 20; 2) Offspring of Zed; 3) TVCU Crew Review December 16; 4) My Little Pony, and 5) Three Stooges.

TVCU Crew Review Sunday, December 22, 2013

Ho, Ho, Ho.  Here's another installment of the TVCU Crew Review.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This past week's most viewed were: 1) TVCU Crew Review Friday, December 20; 2) Offspring of Zed; 3) TVCU Crew Review December 16; 4) My Little Pony, and 5) Three Stooges.

Chris Nigro noted the continued popularity of My Little Pony in the TVCU.  That was James' work, and has had more views than all of the other blogs combined.   It became the number one most viewed blog of all TVCU history within three days after it was posted.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's the new Lost Issue:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew Brook posted this in our discussion forum, thinking of course of James:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are a fan of the Green Hornet TV Show and are on Facebook, please like this page.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matt found a great Easter Egg link connecting Twilight Zone the Movie to Animal House.  See it here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's all for now.  Have a good night, and should I not get back to here beforehand, have a Merry Christmas!

TVCU CREW REVIEW: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2013

Well, with less than one week until Christmas, I should remind folks of our Christmas themed blogs.  I've written blogs covering Santa, A Christmas Carol, and It's a Wonderful Life, and Gordon Long as covered the Rankin-Bass cartoons.  You can find links on the right hand side.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Matt Hickman has found us another crossover between the Power Rangers and NFL sports.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This past week's top five: TVCU Crew Review, Doctor Who, Scooby-Doo, Offspring of Zed, and One Ghost Need Apply.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week I posed the question:  Anyone here have any theories regarding multiple Godzillas coexisting in the same reality, to explain variations on the character?  This sparked a very lengthy multi-day discussion with lots of involvement from many folks.  The major consensus seems to be that Godzilla is a reference to a type of creature, and that there are indeed more than one.  In fact, the second Godzilla film mentions that the first Godzilla was indeed killed and that the one appearing in the follow-up Toho films is a second Godzilla.

The latest Lost Issue:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And to wrap up, I leave you with James Bojaciuk's find, a crossover link between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Live Action TV version) and Bill & Ted.

TVCU CREW REVIEW DECEMBER 16, 2013

Well, time for more random fun finds from the crew!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's another fun Lost Issue for you!

You can find all the lost issues at this link.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a bonus Lost Issue:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week, our Matt Hickman found this cool link to an article detailing a very special Christmas issue of a Star Trek comic, which you can read about here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matt, who is always providing the crew with great info, also found this link to an article regarding a TMNT/Flaming Carrot crossover!  Read about it here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, just want to point out that James Bojaciuk's "One Ghost Need Apply" has already been updated, so you should reread it.  The link is on the right side column of this blog.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that's it for not.  Enough procrastinating.  Time to work on my other project.

TVCU CREW REVIEW DECEMBER 3, 2013

I know I just posted one of these just yesterday, and I don't have too much to add today, but as I'm sitting her at my computer awaiting a response from an author regarding questions I have about his story, I might as well do something productive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So first we got a new Lost Issue.

Of course, you can view all the Lost Issues at the official website, http://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2013/12/mister-miracle-and-thor.html.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I was asked, "What's the current word on whether the Muppets take place in the TVCU?"

Yes, the 2011 blog still stands. And as confirmed last season on SNL, Kermit is not a puppet controlled by someone. He's an actual talking frog. But as also confirmed by Seth Meyers' comments, most of the world thinks they are just puppets. But they are mistaken, as Kermit had to correct him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And Matt found this.  Ron Burgundy on the real news.  Ron is in via a very iffy Human Torch connection.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that's all for now folks.  Stay classy, interwebs.

TVCU CREW REVIEW DECEMBER 2, 2013

I know I said that I would start posting these once or twice a week, but things happen.  Just wanted to point out that James Bojaciuk has posted a NEW blog, One Ghost Need Apply.  Also, almost done with the book, the Horror Crossover Universe.  And in a few weeks I'll have wi-fi back in my home, which means my productivity on both the book and the blog will pick up immensely.  So lets see what's been going on in the TVCU Crew discussions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last month we had 7,418 views. (A new high!) The top five viewed were My Little Pony, One Ghost Need Apply, Doctor Who, Futurama, and the Offspring of Zed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ivan reports:  Last night's Once Upon A Time included a reference to Space Paranoids as a videogame Henry plays too much. Pretty sure that's not the first such reference, but it does confirm that Storybrooke is in the same reality as ENCOM (TRON).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's Cyber Monday. Go buy your TVCU merchandise. Incidentally, I believe Zazzle is having a Cyber Monday sale so it might be cheaper. You know you want a Television Crossover Universe phone case.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over at the Lost Issues, we got delighted by this:

You can visit the site at http://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-emerald-elite.html

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And during the same week, Lost Issues also gave us this.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thant's all for now.  The book is almost finished, and I promise to post some new blogs and blog updates before jumping into the next book.
