Teen Nick

So I did Disney, so now it's time for Nick.

January 1989--MAMA'S FAMILY--"Full House"--This episode reference FULL HOUSE.  There are a log of Full House zonks to deal with in the TVCU. One might consider that Danny was a talk show host in San Francisco, Joey was a stand-up comedian, and Jessie was a professional musician.  So between the three of them, they could have had enough moderate success that perhaps their unusual family dynamic became well known.  Perhaps Wake UP San Francisco had a recurring segment on the show called "Full House" about the family's adventures. It wasn't unusual for the family to show up on the show.  So between the three semi-famous careers of the men of the house, this could perhaps cover the zonks.  Other shows that have had Full House zonks include:  CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL, HOME IMPROVEMENT, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD, BOY MEETS WORLD, THE CRITIC, THE NANNY, SOUTH PARK, LEISURE SUIT LARRY, ENTOURAGE, CHARMED, GILMORE GIRLS, HANNAH MONTANA, THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD, ICARLY, FAMILY GUY, GETAWAY, GREEK, THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC, THE CINEMA SNOB, LAST MAN STANDING, AMERICAN DAD!, I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER, HOUSE M.D., GLEE, KENDRA ON TOP, NEW GIRL, STUDIO C, THE SIMPSONS, JAMES & MIKE PLAY, WORKAHOLICS, ACTION, and ROSEANNE.

All That - logo.png

1994 to 2005--ALL THAT--The first Nick show created by Dan Schneider.  Dan Schneider links all his shows together by characters, fictional products, trends, slang, and other references.  Click here for more on the links between the shows in his world, which is part of the larger TVCU.  All of the shows linked by Dan Schneider's various crossover methods are All That, The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, and Sam & Cat.  Penelope Taynt, played by Amanda Bynes, is a celebrity stalker that appeared on All That and the Amanda Show, as part of the sketches that featured cast members playing themselves in "backstage" segments.

Kenan & Kel intertitle.jpg

1996 to 2000--KENAN & KEL--Spin-off of All That.

1997--GOOD BURGER--This movie is a spin-off of a sketch from All That.

1997--THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON--"James Spader/Andrew Rannells/Brian Regan"--Jimmy Fallon worked at Good Burger in a sketch flashback.

May 1998--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Sabrina's Choice"--Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell appeared on the episode acting out (in a magic ball) what would happen if their characters on the show Kenan & Kel won the lottery.

1998 to 2001--COUSIN SKEETER--A boy's life is changed when his cousin moves in, who happens to be a puppet.

1999 to 2015--THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART--We've already established the Daily Show with Jon Stewart as part of the TVCU. As a fake news show, it borders between fiction and reality. It off course spun off the Colbert Report and the Nightly Show. It has had fictional characters from other series appear on the show, treated as being real. Additionally, Jon Stewart has appeared as himself in Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Mr. Show, the Larry Sanders Show, Dr. Katz, American Dad, Evan Almighty, The Simpsons, The Great Buck Howard, The Adjustment Bureau, The Beaver, and Big Time Rush. The Daily Show and the Colbert Report also did a crossover event with Conan. Stewart has also appeared as himself on various Muppet related projects, Saturday Night Live, WWE Wrestling, and numerous talk shows, award shows, news programs, and other specials.

2004 to 2007--DRAKE & JOSH--The series is focused on a pair of stepbrothers who have opposite personalities.

January 2004--DRAKE & JOSH--"Dune Buggy"--An episode of the Amanda Show is on in the background.  The Amanda Show is a sketch comedy, but the Amanda Show is a fictional show within a show as well, sort of how Saturday Night Live has fictional sketches featuring cast members as themselves on the show.  Thus on the Amanda Show, Amanda Bynes plays a fictional version of herself who plays other fictional sketch characters.  (Ow, my brain hurts now.)

November 2004--DRAKE & JOSH--"Honor Council"--Addie Singer from Unfabulous appears.

2005 to 2008--ZOEY 101--This show has many references to iCarly.  The characters on this show are fans of the fictional iCarly web series.

2006--DRAKE & JOSH GO HOLLYWOOD--Josh's first assignment in his creative writing program is to write a typed report/paper about his greatest adventure. Meanwhile Drake and Josh's parents leave to go on a ten-day cruise, leaving Drake and Josh in charge. But when Drake and Josh accidentally reverse the flight number, sending her to Los Angeles International Airport (flight 647) instead of Denver. Her brothers find out the mistake and follow her on another plane. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Megan uses her parents' credit card to order a limousine to take her to an expensive hotel and book a presidential suite. Before finding out, however, the brothers wait to see Megan's plane take off. When the brothers arrive in Los Angeles, they go out to find their sister and get her to Denver. At this moment, several criminals enter the suite and attempt to take the G-O. It's up to Drake and Josh to foil the bad guys, and get to the TRL studio in time.

2006--YO GABBA GABBA!--The movie that started it all!!!  Or something.

August 2007--DRAKE & JOSH--"The Really Big Shrimp"--A flashback from The Amanda Show is used when Drake and Josh were fighting over the shrimp thrown by Penelope and Barney. This was intended as the series finale, but the final three episodes did not air in order.

March 2010--BIG TIME RUSH--"Big Time Break"--Carlo's dad actually appeared in Drake & Josh as a police officer.

March 2010--ICARLY--"iFix a Pop Star"--Sam references Buzz Magazine, which was shown in the Zoey 101 episode "Miss PCA" as a famous magazine that every girl wants to model for.

March 2011--ICARLY--"iPity the Nevel"--Perhaps not the first appearance of Pear Products, but in the "fun facts" for this episode, creator Dan Schneider talks about how Pear Products, the stand-in for Apple, are only owned by the "good guys" on his shows. March 2012--VICTORIOUS--"April Fools Blank"--Mr. Belding appears, thus creating a solid link between the Disney shows and the Nick shows.  Victorious, as I'll cover in a later blog, of course connects to iCarley and Sam & Cat.   Note that this is a April Fools Day intentional bloopers show, so not everything in this episode is cannon.  For instance, one character walks off of the Victorious set and onto the iCarly set, saying hi to Spencer during this episode, breaking the fourth wall.  Dancing lobsters frequently appear at random throughout the episode

November 2015--100 THINGS TO DO BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL--"Survive the Virus Attack Trapped in Your Home Base Station Thing!"--As seen on the owner's manual, the washing machine is made by RCM CBT Globalnet Sanyoid. This is the fictional company that owns the record company in Big Time Rush, also created by Scott Fellows.  IMDB claims that Mr. Matthews on this show has appeared several times before, as seen here.  I doubt the validity of that claim as each Mr. Matthews listed on that page is played by a different actor, over many years, with varying characteristics.

May 2016--HENRY DANGER--"Danger & Thunder"--A direct crossover with Thundermans.

TVCU-29-Skitlandia and non-canon commercials. The setting for the Brady Bunch spook sketch from the AMANDA SHOW episode "When Bradys Attack".

Wizard of WazzShot0011Shot0011

WIZARD OF WAZZ--This is the setting of the non-canon episode of Victorious entitled "April Fools' Blank".  Victorious is in the Televison Crossover Universe.  Eventually I will cover the show in a Nick Teen Blog.  But this episode was an April Fool's Day prank that was completely nonsensical.  See the video here.

MAD UNIVERSE--Versions of iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat, Yo Gabba Gabba, Big Time Rush and the Fresh Beat Band exist in this reality.

ROBOT CHICKEN UNIVERSE--Versions of iCarly and Zoey 101 exist in this reality.
